MISSION MITES EMPHASIS THIS WEEKEND
This weekend is our monthly Mission Mites Emphasis. Please bring in your spare change or consider giving a special offering to help us fund some wonderful mission projects within our own Iowa West District.
This month we are highlighting District Grant #7 Expanding the LCMS Deaconess Ministry to the Elderly. Perry Lutheran Home, in Perry, Iowa, is a Registered Service Organization of the LCMS. In partnership with the Deaconess program at Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne, the Perry Home will begin a pilot program for Deaconess interns who will live onsite at PLH, while they learn and practice their specialized spiritual care. This will be a wonderful benefit to both the deaconess students and to the residents of the home as well.
