Experience Mount Olive Lutheran School

Recent News

We love Mount Olive Lutheran School because of its Christ centered education and small community feel!

The teachers and staff have helped them thrive as unique individuals academically and spiritually.

Mount Olive prepared me academically and socially for the transition from grade school to high school, college, and ultimately the workforce.

I developed life-long friendships that I still treasure to this day. Because of my experiences and the benefits from Mount Olive, my husband and I decided to give our children this same great education.

Handbell Choir

Students in grades 4-8 may choose to be in handbell choir. The handbell choir is directed by Aaron Powell. Since the handbell choir has a limited number of positions, auditions may be held as necessary. The handbell choir will perform as scheduled at various locations in the community and at Mount Olive Lutheran Church services. Members are expected to be in regular attendance when the handbell choir plays. A parent must inform the director beforehand of any absence. For information about handbell choir, contact Mr. Powell at

Yearbook Club

Students in 5th to 8th grade have the opportunity to work on the school’s yearbook online after school. Working together, students design and choose all aspects of the book from the cover to the layout to the pictures and everything else in between. Contact Mrs. Doraska, yearbook director at for more information.

Chess Club

Students of all ages may choose to participate in an after school chess club, hosted by school parent Read Cowern. Students learn the rules and fundamentals of this classic game and have a chance to play together. Contact Mrs. Prunty for information on meeting times at
